I bought this lamp because it was a great price. My wife and I were shopping around at lighting stores looking at $300 pendant lamps. I saw this one and wasn't sure from the description what exactly was included, so I bought one. I like the color and design - it looks great. It comes with a base plate at the top, power cord which it hangs from, and the lamp / shade assembly. It runs at line voltage, which means you don't need any kind of step down transformer to get to a low voltage line (so install is relatively simple) & uses a standard light bulb.

I wish that it came with a steel/titanium colored rod to hide the power cord, which is used to hang the light by. I may try to shop around for a titanium colored tube and cut it to length myself and if that works I'll buy two more of the lights for my kitchen.

Other than not having a rod / tube to cover the cord, I think it's a great value and really sharp light fixture. This light fixture is a 5, but without the steel tube to cover the power cord I have to give it a 4.

One side note is that the light it emits is much redder than I thought it would be. I may try to somehow make the lamp shade less transparent to make most of the light shine straight down.
